POSITION: Super User (Full Time Regular)
LOCATION: Health Centers
DUTIES: • Managing and leading projects involving the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system eClinicalWorks, as well as troubleshooting issues, driving system improvements and performing optimization tasks to ensure a healthy and operational mission critical system • In partnership with other team members, providing first-level contact and problem resolution for all ECW users in the PCC supported network; resolve user-reported problems using available tools, procedures, and policies. • Assessing and escalating user-reported problems; deciding which issues need to be elevated to ECW Support and clearly communicate the problem to ECW in a timely manner • The incumbent will work closely with providers, clinical staff and management across all clinics to ensure that our software system and technologies meet the demands and enhance physician productivity and patient experience needs • Facilitating the development of system builds to standardize delivery of care • Plans, reviews and collaborates projects and tasks with the Health IT and IT teams and is able to perform independently where necessary • Understanding customer/clinic practice management needs and requirements and providing recommendations for use of EHR tools to meet these needs • Playing a key role in researching and resolving workflow and software problems as part of daily operational support • Building and managing relationships with our Super Users, Champions, Care Coordinators and Medical Leadership Team to understand and improve clinical workflows • Onboarding support of Clinical staff and other eCW users upon hire • Assuring network clinics' EHR licenses are up to date • Coordinating the credentialing process including license assignment for clinicians and non-clinician users at participating clinics • Participating in troubleshooting tasks and project involving labs, Health Information Exchanges (HIE), immunization registries and others • Technical support for Scribe, HEDIS and UDS reporting, Care Gap Analysis, Population Health management, Chronic Care management, HCC/RAF modules, and others when implemented • Developing, preparing, and leading training sessions in a virtual environment, group and one-on-one settings • Maintain up-to-date training resources and direct clinic staff to applicable education resources, as relevant • Creating and maintaining learning curriculum for new staff and develop ongoing educational content for existing staff to maximize system utilization • Contributing to the development of e-learnings, quick tips, How To’s and other “Just In Time” training content • Documenting, communicating, and helping to resolve feedback, questions, and enhancement requests along with other operations staff • Provide on-site support to new providers and clinical staff • Escalating risks and issues as appropriate to the project sponsor and/or the external partner • Assisting in identification of opportunities for process and quality improvement both internally to eCW and in-patient flow or clinic operations • Attending training and conferences for eCW, and all other applicable trainings and meetings as directed by supervisor • Performing testing for new implementations, patches being applied, and upgrades being performed and as directed by supervisor • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: Required Skills/Abilities: • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively and build collaborative relationships with diverse clients, stakeholders, and staff members at all levels. • Experience with eCW maintenance and administration, keeping the EHR system updated, organized and secure • May travel via personal vehicle or public transportation to other facilities throughout Los Angeles • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including: Access, PowerPoint, Excel • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues • Strong technical and numerical skills with advanced Excel skills • Successful completion and acceptable results of post offer physical examination, drug screening, and criminal background check Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or Healthcare Informatics; minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with electronic medical/health record (EMR or EHR) systems, or the equivalent combination of education and experience • Experience in delivering training sessions or providing technical support in a healthcare setting • eClinicalWorks: 2 years (Required) • EMR training: 2 years (Required)
