POSITION: Technical Lead (Full Time Regular)

 

SHIFT: Monday – Friday @ 8am to 5pm

 

LOCATION: Corporate Office – Gardena, CA  

 

DUTIES: The Technical Lead is responsible for preparing reports on analyses, findings, project progress and present results to management team. Serve as subject-matter expert who can easily liaise between IT and other departments. Can identify and direct resolution of complex hardware/software interface issues. Identify and track issues, concerns, and opportunities for improvement of network projects. Advise the management team on hardware characteristics that affect software systems, such as storage capacity, processing speed, memory, and input/output requirements.  Develop logical and physical technology documentation for existing or proposed systems. Translate business requirements into architecture and design artifacts that ultimately constitutes the blueprint for a solution. Recommend solutions that are secure, robust, and align with agency project roadmap.

 

Following is a general listing of the job duties inherent in this position as directed and supervised by the Director of IT.  The employee may also perform other tasks and special projects as assigned:

 

  • Manages Office 365 and cloud computing 

  • Leads the implementation of hardware infrastructure strategy for the organization

  • Uses knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks.

  • Develop enterprise backup solution

  • Recommends courses of action to prevent problems and to maintain high infrastructure service levels.

  • Deployment, maintenance, analysis, repairs, replacement, support and upgrade of computer workstations, server, hardware, software, operating systems and distributed printers.  

  • Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems.  Responsibility for documenting the configuration of the system. 

  • Manages infrastructure vendor relationships and maintains the company's interests and compliance, licensing agreements, and maintenance and support agreements.

  • Development and maintenance of related intranet documents. Performs backups and ensures user accessibility to internet/intranet sites. 

  •  Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements

  • Preparation and maintenance of specified documentation (guides, policies & procedure manuals, tutorials, handbooks, and any other user documentation).  

  • Recommends courses of action to prevent problems and to maintain high infrastructure service levels.

  • Maintains familiarity with BHS policies and procedures and other applicable regulations.  Performs job duties accordingly.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:             Following are the qualifications required to perform the essential functions of this                                                 position.  Qualifications may be subject to modification based on the Americans                                                   with Disabilities Act. 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent in experience is required. Advanced degree or certification in IT.

  • 5 to 7 years of related experience in information technology

  • TCP/IP Expert 

  • Windows Server Expertise 

  • Microsoft Exchange Server Expertise

  • Active Directory Expertise

  • Strong Networking skills

  • Enterprise level backup management 

  • SQL Server setup, backup, and management 

  • Perimeter Security experience 

  • IPSEC VPN experience 

  • Direct experience with enterprise level servers  

  • Strong understanding of computer hardware 

  • Deep understanding of Storage Technologies including: SAN, DAS, and NAS
