POSITION: Clinician II/III (Full Time Regular)
SHIFT: Monday – Friday @ 8am to 5pm
LOCATION: Wilmington Community Recovery Center – Wilmington, CA
DUTIES: Under general supervision of the Program Director, the Clinician II has responsibility for a psychiatric caseload of adolescents, transitional age youth and/or adults. Under general supervision of the Program Director the Clinician III has the responsibility of assessing, diagnosing and identifying the appropriate level of patient care by conducting a comprehensive American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) assessment and/or an Initial Triage Assessments (ITA) and participate in treatment plan development.
QUALIFICATIONS: Following are the qualifications required to perform the essential functions of this position. Qualifications may be subject to modification based on the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Clinician II - Must possess a current registration to practice as an Associate Clinical Social Worker, or a Marriage, Family and Child Intern in the State of California. Must possess and maintain a valid intern registration number or waiver from the State Board of Behavioral Examiners. Must have at least 2 years’ experience providing clinician experience. Experience working with private insurance.
Clinician III: Must maintain a current license with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). Must possess and maintain a license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Marriage, Family and Child Counselor, or Clinical Psychologist in the State of California. Must have previous experience supervising registered Clinicians. Must have knowledge of laws and regulations related to: Title 22, 42CFR and clients’ rights. Must have knowledge of medical record-keeping and documentation including client charting and Medi-Cal regulations and documentation for medical necessity. Experience working with private insurance.
Recovering individuals must have a minimum two years clean, sober and abstinent to be considered for employment.
