POSITION: Program Director (Full-Time Regular)
LOCATION: Redgate Memorial Recovery Center – Long Beach, CA
DUTIES: The Program Director supervises staff, providing clinical and administrative leadership. Coordinates program activities and fiscal management. Assures that program complies with contract, licensing, certification and other required standards.
QUALIFICATIONS: Following are the qualifications required to perform the essential functions of this position. Qualifications may be subject to modification based on the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Master’s degree in related field plus two years related supervised work experience or Bachelor’s degree in related field plus four years related supervised work experience or Chemical dependency certification plus six years related supervised work experience.
Thorough knowledge of County, Federal and State program standards. Experience with accreditation and certification preferred. Thorough knowledge of drug dependency, mental health, and recovery & family systems required. Knowledge of the philosophy and approach of the 12-step program.
Communication, writing, record keeping and math skills adequate for performance of job duties. Must have valid California driver’s license and liability insurance if driving personal vehicle on BHS business.
Recovering individuals must have a minimum two years clean, sober and abstinent to be considered for employment.
