POSITION: Prevention Case Manager (Full Time Regular)

LOCATION: ADAM 2 – Long Beach, CA

DUTIES: The Prevention Case Manager works as a member of the treatment team, coordinating program services, and maintaining the well-being of clients who identify as MSMS and their Significant others and the integrity of the program.  The Prevention Case Manager position combines the skills and expertise of a Counselor II and an HIV Risk Reduction Specialist.

QUALIFICATIONS: Following are the qualifications required to perform the essential functions of this position. Qualifications may be subject to modification based on the Americans with Disabilities Act.

High school diploma or equivalency. Two years supervised experience working in substance abuse and/or a related field, and two years of experience in HIV risk reduction/prevention program. Completion of a drug and alcohol studies program. Current certification as a substance abuse counselor prior to employment.

Vision, hearing, manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination must be adequate for performance of job duties. Able to sit at desk, use keyboard, write and physically perform other job duties. Able to move about the facility to observe clients and staff.

Recovering individuals must have a minimum two years clean, sober and abstinent to be considered for employment.
