POSITION: Licensed Clinician (Full Time Regular)
LOCATION: Flossie Lewis, Long Beach
DUTIES: Under general supervision of the Program Director the Licensed Clinician has the responsibility of assessing, diagnosing and identifying the appropriate level of patient care by conducting a comprehensive American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) assessments and/or an Initial Triage Assessments (ITA) and participate in treatment plan development.
QUALIFICATIONS: Following are the qualifications required to perform the essential functions of this position. Qualifications may be subject to modification based on the Americans Disability Act. Must maintain a current license with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). Must possess and maintain a license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Marriage, Family and Child Counselor, or Clinical Psychologist in the State of California. Must have previous experience supervising registered Clinicians. Must have knowledge of laws and regulations related to: Title 22, 42CFR and clients’ rights. Must have knowledge of medical record-keeping and documentation including client charting and Medi-Cal regulations and documentation for medical necessity. Vision, hearing, manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination must be adequate for performance of job duties. Able to sit at desk, use keyboard, write and physically perform other job duties. Able to move about the facility to observe clients and staff. Bilingual abilities may be required within certain BHS programs. Must have valid California driver’s license and liability insurance if driving personal vehicle on BHS business. Recovering individuals must have a minimum two years clean, sober and abstinent to be considered for employment.
